The Far Pavilions – 10 Nights / 11 Days Itinerary
 
Nepal is a destination renowned all over the world for the hospitality of its people, for the highest mountain range on earth – the Himalaya, for diverse flora and fauna and also for its rich cultural heritage. Incentive and Meeting planners can offer a memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience to their clients seeking an alternative, off-the-beaten-track MICE venue.

The capital city of Kathmandu boasts of world class brand names like Hyatt Regency, Crowne Plaza and Radisson in its hostelry. For nature lovers mountain resorts in Nagarkot, Pokhara or Jomsom offer comfort above the clouds. Tiger Tops defines the jungle experience in the sanctuaries that are home to the Royal Bengal tiger and One-horned Indian rhinoceros.

Day 1:  Arrive Kathmandu.
Drive to Nagarkot hill top and check in at Club Himalaya. Rest of the day at leisure, sunset views over the Himalayan mountains. Dinner and overnight at resort. (D)

Day 2: Nagarkot - Bhkatapur - Kathmandu.
Early morning sunrise views over the Himalayas. Breakfast. Check out and drive to Bhaktapur City, the city of Devotees, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Drive to Kathmandu City and check in at hotel. Lunch. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath, holiest Hindu temple and Baudhanath, world's largest Buddhist stupa. Overnight at hotel. (3 meals)

Day 3: Kathmandu.
Morning sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city and Swoyambhunath. Lunch at an appropriate restaurant. Afternoon sightseeing of Patan city – city of arts & crafts Overnight in the hotel. (3 meals)

Day 4: Kathmandu – Paro
Morning at leisure. Lunch. We take a Drukair flight at 1535 from Kathmandu into Paro, flying parallel with the Eastern Himalayan Mountains including Mt. Everest, Makalu and Kanchenjunga. We arrive at 1700 hours in the freshness of Paro valley and our representatives will take us to our hotel in Paro, Hotel Olathang or similar. There will be a short briefing this evening before dinner. (3 meals)

Day 5: Paro - Thimphu
We visit the most important sights in Paro including the TaDzong (national museum), the Drukyel Dzong (fort), Kyichu Lakhang, the oldest temple in Bhutan built in AD 638 by the Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo. After lunch we take an hour and a half drive to Thimphu via Taktsang Lhakhang (temple) called the tiger's lair clinging to the black rock mountain. We spend the night in our hotel in Thimphu. (3 meals)

Day 6:  Thimphu - Paro
We take a full sight-seeing trip today including the famous Memorial Chorten built in honor of 3rd king HM Jigme DorjeWangchuk, Tashichoe Dzong (seat of government), Changlimithang and the weekly market, Changangkha Lhakhang and Simtokha Dzong, guarding the entrance into Thimphu. Late afternoon we drive back to Paro to a reception and folk entertainment in a typical Bhutanese farmhouse. We spend overnight in Hotel Olathang or similar.(3 meals)

Day 7: Paro – Kathmandu - Chitwan
After breakfast we take a transfer to the airport nearby and fly back to Kathmandu. Depart at 0855 and arrive at 0945 hours. Meet and drive to Royal Chitwan National Park. En route enjoy white-water rafting on the Trishuli River (from minimum group size 6 persons only). Freshly cooked lunch is served by the river bank. Afternoon arrive at Park and check in at resort. Experience elephant safari. Dinner and overnight at resort. (3 meals)

Day 8: Chitwan National Park.
Full day of jungle safari activities including boating, elephant ride and Jeep drive in the jungle. (3 meals)

Day 9: Chitwan - Pokhara
Drive to Pokhara, the lakeside resort offering fabulous Himalayan views. Lunch en route. Arrive at Pokhara and check in your hotel. Visit lakeside. Overnight at hotel. (3 meals)

Day 10: Pokhara - Kathmandu
After breakfast half-day tour of Pokhara. Lunch. Drive back to Kathmandu. (Option to fly back to Kathmandu available with a supplementary cost). Arrive in Kathmandu and check in at your hotel. (3 meals)

Day 11:  Departure.
Transfer to the airport for departure flight. (B)
