Bhutan is well defined by the name Last Shangri-La or Land of the Thunder Dragon. The remarkable feature of Bhutan is its varied climatic conditions ranging from the sub-tropical to the cold reaches of the almost 25,000 ft snow-capped mountain ranges of the Tibetan border. The Trek unfolds a magnificent vista of Mount Chomolhari, including visits to Bhuatanese farmhouse and wide yak pastures.Magnificent mountains, lush fields, thick forests, traditional lifestyle and a serene atmosphere are attractions of Bhutan. Bhutan is rich in its natural assets & also one of the last areas still pristine in all its nature. A drive to Drugyal Dzong (a ruined fortress - 16 km away from Paro town). The Dzong, although in ruins, holds great historical significance. This spot unfolds a magnificent vista of Mount Chomolhari, “Mountain of Goddess” (Alt. 7329 m). Visit a typical Bhutanese farmhouse on the way back. We shall also trek through wide yak pastures. The number of passes, that we come across, makes the trek more fascinating. After the trek, we will be visiting different places like Thimpu (capital of Bhutan), Punakha and Wangdi. |
