Shivapuri (2732 m) is a scenic hilltop around Kathmandu valley. It is located north of Kathmandu. Drive to Budhanilkantha. Start to ascend from the road head. The trail gradually climbs up to the fence border of Shivapuri forest and then it becomes moderately steep. You will take about an hour walk up to the hill to cover the steep portion of the trek; then the trail becomes little easier. The trail is fairly level as it approached the ridgeline. The last part of trail is steep walk to the top. In average it takes about 4 hours to walk up to the summit and return in about 2 hours.
