Nepal > Trekking > Dhaulagiri
Dhaulagiri, whose name means White Mountain, is one of the highest mountains in the world whose elevation exceeds 8000 m. Dhaulagiri's crest stretches for thirty miles, lending structure to tangled scenery of twisting ridges, glaciers, and ice falls. Along the main crest, several pyramid-shaped peaks rise. Dhaulagiri separated from the Annapurna region by Kali Gandaki includes some fifteen peaks above 7000 m. The trekking in this area is relatively strenuous but the trekkers who are willing to spend their holidays with nature and natural surroundings full of peace and tranquility will choose this trekking destination. Crossing Dhaulagiri Base camp, you will approach to the French Pass between the Mukut Himal and Tukuche Peak. Then, the immense peaks of the Dhaulagiri range will surround you.
