Message from CEO

Dear Colleagues,

Summer in Nepal is the perfect time to journey to the Trans-Himalayan Regions of Upper Mustang in Nepal and across the border into the Autonomous Region of Tibet in China. The government of Nepal has changed the entry fee to Upper Mustang from US$ 500.00 per person for up to 10 days of stay to just US$ 50.00 per day regardless of the number of days of visit. The bridge on the border of Nepal at Rasuwa to Kyirong in Tibet that was washed away in last year’s monsoon has now been restored and easy border crossing is possible. Flights between Kathmandu and Lhasa the capital of Tibet are being conducted by Himalaya Airlines with direct flights and by Air China via Chengdu, the capital of the Sichuan Province of China. Mt. Kailash and Lake Manasarover in Tibet are considered holy pilgrimage spots by both Hindus and Buddhists and this year being the “Year of the Horse” holds special significance in the 12-year zodiac cycle.

Yours Sincerely,
Subodh Rana
