Our Tourists Fly from Lhasa to Kathmandu
Our German tourists flew from Lhasa to Kathmandu after visiting Everest Base Camp in the Tibetan side of the border. It was a great relief to welcome them since the border crossing was swept away by the recent flood and they headed back to Lhasa to fly to Kathmandu.

Radisson Hotel Kathmandu hosts Lucknowi Food Festival at The Fun Café from September 6 till September 15
In celebration of and to promote Lucknowi cuisine the festival will provide Lucknowi cultural demonstration comprising of cultural performances of Lucknowi Gharanas on the opening date of the festival. To serve the best Lucknowi food, Radisson Hotel Kathmandu brought in Master Chef Shabir Ali from Radisson Lucknow.
The festival will be promoted for dinner at The Fun Café from September 7 till September 15. Signature dishes of Lucknowi cuisine will be served such as Gosht Galouti Kebab, Murgh Banno Kebab, Paneer Anjeer Ki Seekh, Kareli Nehari, Gucchi Murgh, Makai Shahzadi, Gosh Dum Biryani, Sheermal, Nawabi Zarda, Shahi Tukda and many more.
Janai Purnima Celebrated Across Nepal
Nepal celebrated Janai Purnima (Rishi Tarpani) on 28 August, with thousands of devotees participating in sacred rituals, temple visits, and family traditions across the country. The festival, observed on the full moon of the Hindu month of Shrawan, is one of Nepal’s most significant religious and cultural celebrations.

From early morning, pilgrims gathered at major religious sites, including Pashupatinath Temple, Kumbheshwar Temple, and the sacred Gosainkunda lake, where thousands took ritual baths and offered prayers to Lord Shiva. Tagadhari Hindus renewed their sacred Janai, while priests tied the traditional Raksha Bandhan (Doro) around devotees’ wrists as a symbol of protection and well-being.
The festival also reflected Nepal’s rich cultural diversity. The Newar community observed Kwati Purnima by preparing the traditional sprouted bean soup Kwati, while families in the Tarai celebrated Rakhi, strengthening the bond between brothers and sisters.
Recognizing the festival’s national importance, the Government of Nepal declared a public holiday, allowing people across the country to participate in the celebrations.
